The neighborhood record market at the Ellington Club in Pigneto
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
The Pigneto Vinyl Fest is the monthly appointment that collectors and music enthusiasts in Rome look forward to. Created to provide a permanent space for vinyl culture in the capital's most alternative neighborhood, it is a true record market that brings the Ellington Club on Via Anassimandro 15 to life, just a stone's throw from the street that made Pigneto famous throughout Italy. Here, among the exhibitors' stalls, people come to hunt for elusive LPs, browse 45s catalogs, rediscover a forgotten CD, or chat with those who live music as a total passion.
The heart of the day is the market, featuring a curated selection of exhibitors bringing "the best of new and used." It's not just vinyl: on the tables, you will find records from every era and genre, from great classics to niche rarities.
The market is also open to those who want to sell or trade pieces from their own collection: you don't need to be a professional exhibitor, just have the desire to keep the music spinning.
The Pigneto Vinyl Fest is more than just a market: it's a full Sunday to spend at the Ellington. While browsing the stalls, the day is punctuated by DJ sets and guest selectors spinning the vinyl just purchased, ranging from library music to funk, lounge to electronica. At the table, there is Sunday brunch with the club's kitchen, while the two mixology stations offer aperitifs and cocktails. It is this combination of music, good food, and a relaxed atmosphere that makes the event a neighborhood ritual rather than just a simple market.
The setting is a huge part of the charm. The Ellington Club, named after the legendary Duke Ellington, is a 250-square-meter "live dinner club" with a stage and a room that hosts up to 140 people: a place with a cinematic atmosphere where music, creativity, and artistic ferment blend together. In "downtown" Pigneto, a neighborhood of directors, musicians, and artists in the eastern quadrant of Rome, the Ellington is one of the historic strongholds of nightlife and culture.
The strength of the Pigneto Vinyl Fest lies in its regularity: it takes place on the first Sunday of every month, from 11 AM to 8 PM, with free admission. It is a grassroots initiative, curated by organizer Francesco Bonaccorso, which over the years has built a loyal community of enthusiasts and made Pigneto a must-visit destination for vinyl lovers in Rome and the Lazio region. An opportunity to combine record hunting with the pleasure of a Sunday in good company, in the Municipality of Rome, Province of Rome.
