Piglione Trail

The 2025 edition of the Piglione Trail, the sixth of the event, confirmed the constant growth of the trail running race in Pescaglia, in the Lucca Apuan Alps. On Sunday, October 19, over 300 athletes, including international runners, started from the sports field in San Rocco in Turrite for the three distances: Short 19 km, Long 36 km, and Ultra 55 km, all finishing at the south summit of Monte Piglione.

The routes crossed the villages and forests of the municipality—from Pascoso to Celle dei Puccini—in the colors of the Apuan autumn, supported by aid stations set up in mountain huts and cabins. A day of sport and community that confirmed the Piglione Trail as one of the most beloved events in Tuscan trail running.
