Pieve Classica

The eleventh edition of Pieve Classica brought the Teatro Comunale Giovanni Papini of Pieve Santo Stefano to life starting January 25, 2025, with eight events spread between January and April. The festival, organized by the Coro Altotiberino with the local municipality, reaffirmed its role as a musical reference point for the Aretine Valtiberina.

Among the season's highlights were the Florentia Symphonic Orchestra performing Offenbach's operetta La Rose de Saint Fleur (April 12) and the symphony orchestra of the University of Ulm (Germany), hosted on April 23, alongside chamber ensembles like the Trio Calliope. A new feature that year was an artistic trail along the theatre's staircase with works by painter Onelio Dalla Ragione, each paired with a musical evening, as well as experiential packages from the tourist office combining concerts with guided tours of the area.
