Pietro Beschi. The Garden of Memory

A tribute to Pietro Beschi

The exhibition "Pietro Beschi. The Garden of Memory" is dedicated to one of the most representative artists of Castiglione delle Stiviere, in the province of Mantua. Painter and sculptor born in 1907, Pietro Beschi spanned a good part of the 20th century with his work, leaving a deep mark on the city's artistic heritage. The exhibition, held at Palazzo Menghini on Via Cesare Battisti, reconstructs his creative journey.

Over fifty works

On display are over 50 works: sculptures, drawings, paintings, and mosaics that document the artist's entire career, from the production of the 1930s to the post-war mosaics. Among the works exhibited, significant pieces stand out, such as the reinterpretation of the fountain in Via Gridonia and the tribute to Toscanini, testaments to Beschi's dialogue with the history and identity of the territory.

The exhibition is curated by Gianfranco Ferlisi, who also authored the critical text accompanying the exhibition. Set up in the spaces of Palazzo Menghini, it is part of the cultural enhancement program promoted by the city, which has been dedicating monographic exhibitions to local artists for years.
