Piedmontese Rice Bio-District Day at Cascina Teglio

The 2025 edition of the day dedicated to the Piedmontese Rice Bio-District brought curious visitors, families, and enthusiasts of food, wine, and rural tourism to Cascina Teglio in Rovasenda (VC). As per the tradition of the initiative, the day combined the discovery of the organic rice paddies of the Baraggia with activities designed to share the value of agricultural biodiversity.

Visitors were able to walk through chemical-free fields, participate in workshops, and learn firsthand about the work of the Bio-District rice farmers, who are committed to environmentally friendly and low-water-consumption cultivation. An event that strengthened the bond between the Vercelli territory, its quality rice, and a community attentive to sustainability.
