Edition 2025 — Piedmont Regional Chess Championship

The 2025 edition of the Piedmont Absolute Regional Championship was held in Turin, maintaining the usual seven-round open format reserved for Italian players and valid for Elo Italia and FIDE rankings. The event confirmed its role as a top-tier fixture in the regional chess calendar, awarding the title of absolute champion of Piedmont to the best players of the long-game format.

The 2025 Piedmont Absolute Regional Chess Championship took place in Turin, the regional capital, upholding the tradition of a tournament that awards the title of absolute regional chess champion every year.

With the usual seven-round format and long-game time control, the edition saw the best Piedmontese players compete for the regional title. Among the protagonists, the young Simone Marletta established himself as the absolute champion of Piedmont, confirming the talent of the new generation of regional chess players. The 2025 edition laid the groundwork for the subsequent and highly attended 2026 edition held in Nichelino, in the province of Turin.
