Piccolo Festival Civico "Rehabiting the Village"

Second edition, August 25-31, 2025

Promoted by the Semi di Rigenerazione Association with the Grotte di Castro municipal administration, the 2025 edition opened on Monday, August 25, with an exploratory walk through the village, followed in the afternoon by the presentation of the project and the first design workshop. The central days featured drawing workshops, lantern and wreath making, decorative motifs, and cooking and crochet courses for children taught by those who have practiced these skills in the village for generations.

The weekend brought urban installations, interactive games, and a toy library, culminating in the self-managed social lunch on Sunday and the final "Hunting for Origins" walk. The collective works created during the week remained on display in the alleys of the historic center.

The festival was part of the project "New Scenarios for Ancient Villages and Territories. A community imagines its future," funded by the Ministry of Culture with PNRR — Next Generation EU funds. Free admission, no skills required.
