Within the distributed festival Piano City Milano, the Torri Bianche of Gratosoglio (Municipality 5, southern outskirts of Milan) host a special concert. The choice of location is not accidental: bringing a major musical event to a peripheral district affirms the festival's mission to reach every corner of the city, even areas furthest from traditional cultural circuits.

When video games become concert music

The protagonist is pianist Nicolas Horvath, who presents the "Assassin's Creed: The Piano Collection" project in its Italian premiere, the piano version of the official Ubisoft record project. It is a concert that translates a video game soundtrack into piano form, overcoming the rigid separation between "high culture" and contemporary popular imagination: an idea perfectly in line with the inclusive spirit of Piano City.

Inside Piano City Milano 2026

The event is part of Piano City Milano 2026 (May 15-17), the sixteenth edition of the festival that brings over 250 free concerts to the city in more than 140 locations. The event is promoted by the Piano City Milano Association together with the Municipality of Milan (Province of Milan, Lombardy). The concert at Gratosoglio is scheduled for Sunday, May 17th at 3:30 PM.

The Torri Bianche, a symbol of the district

The Torri Bianche of Gratosoglio are among the most recognizable buildings in the southern outskirts of Milan: imposing residential towers of social housing, a symbol of a district born in the 1960s and often told only through its difficulties. Choosing this very location for a Piano City concert, and moreover with a program that brings video game music to the stage, is a statement of intent: great culture does not belong only to the center or to renowned venues, but can and must reach everyone. The Italian premiere of the Assassin's Creed piano collection in front of the Torri Bianche thus becomes a small symbolic event, capable of uniting different audiences and generations and restoring cultural dignity to a part of the city too often forgotten.
