Pianella Patronal Feast

The 2025 Pianella Patronal Feast took place during the last week of July, following the custom that binds the Pescara town to its three patron saints, Saint Ciriaca, Saint Pantaleon, and Saint Sylvester. The edition was marked by a moment of strong community participation: in May 2025, the municipal administration and the Parish of Sant'Antonio Abate had addressed a public appeal to citizens to gather availability and proposals, following the withdrawal of the association that had handled the organization in previous years.

The community's response allowed the tradition to be kept alive, with liturgical celebrations, the veneration of the relics of Saint Ciriaca kept in the mother church, the evocative procession with the verginelle and devotional songs, as well as the usual moments of secular celebration that draw citizens and visitors from all over the Abruzzo region to Pianella every year.
