Pezze di Greco Living Nativity

The 37th edition of the Pezze di Greco Living Nativity confirmed the charm of one of the most evocative performances in Puglia. In the Lama del Trappeto Rock Village, among caves, crypts, and ancient oil mills carved into the tufa, over three hundred costumed actors brought to life the daily gestures of peasant civilization, culminating in the central Nativity scene.

The edition opened on Saturday, December 20, 2025, with a parade of actors through the streets of Pezze di Greco, a Eucharistic celebration in the S. Maria del Carmine parish church, and an evening concert. Visits to the village took place on festive afternoons, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, attracting thousands of visitors and numerous organized groups from across the region. The event, promoted by the Pezze di Greco Living Nativity Cultural Association with the sponsorship of the Puglia Region, the Province of Brindisi, the City of Fasano, and the Diocese of Conversano-Monopoli, renewed a ritual that, since 1987, has united spirituality, memory, and territory.
