The Pedara Summer Fair is a well-established fixture on the summer calendar of the town of Pedara, a small center nestled on the southeastern slopes of Mount Etna, in the province of Catania. Every year, in the heart of August, Parco Angelo D'Arrigo becomes the stage for an event that attracts thousands of visitors from across the Etna region, drawn by a proven mix of market, gastronomy, and entertainment.
A great open-air market
The fair was born as a showcase for the region: along the park's pathways, dozens of stands offer typical Sicilian products, gastronomic specialties, local handicrafts, regional businesses, and a vast selection dedicated to home, decor, and leisure. It is the ideal opportunity to discover the excellence of the Etna territory, from sweets to preserves, as well as unique gifts and crafts.
Evenings of music and entertainment
When night falls, the fair changes its face and transforms into a large entertainment space. The evening program features live music, cabaret nights, contests, entertainment, and special guests taking turns on stage. The convivial atmosphere, typical of Sicilian summers, accompanies strolls among the stands until late at night, aided by the cool climate of Pedara, a well-known holiday destination thanks to its high-altitude location.

How to get there
Pedara can be reached by car from Catania in about 20 minutes via the SP4/II and SS114, exiting towards the Etna towns. From Catania-Fontanarossa Airport, the park is about 25 km away. Parco Angelo D'Arrigo is located in the town center of Pedara.
Hours and admission
The fair takes place in the evening, approximately from 6:00 PM until late at night. Admission is free.
