Pedagaggi Prickly Pear Mustard Festival

31st edition: October 10-12, 2025

The thirty-first edition of the Prickly Pear Mustard Festival brought Pedagaggi, a village in the Municipality of Carlentini (SR), to life over the weekend of October 10, 11, and 12, 2025. Organized by Pro Loco Pedagaggi with the patronage of the Municipality of Carlentini, the Free Consortium of Syracuse, and the Sicilian Region, the event offered the usual food and wine route in the San Cristoforo district.

Visitors were able to taste dried prickly pear mustard, fresh prickly pears, cavateddi with pork sauce, warm ricotta, focaccia, porchetta, cheeses, cured meats, crispelle, preserves, wine, and local olive oil. The days were accompanied by the drummer parade, performances by folk groups, and musical shows, confirming the festival as one of the most anticipated events of the Iblean autumn.
