2025 Edition
The 18th edition of the Pecure allu Cutture Festival was held on Saturday, August 2, 2025, in Piazza del Popolo in Pacentro (AQ), from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The event, organized by the Pro Loco Association of Pacentro with the patronage of the Municipality and the Borghi più Belli d'Italia association, offered tastings of pecora al cotturo, the mutton stew slow-cooked with potatoes and spices in large copper cauldrons.
Alongside the signature dish, the public enjoyed arrosticini, cheeses produced by animals grazing on the Majella, traditional cured meats, and local wine, in an evening dedicated to Pacentro's historical bond with pastoral activity and mountain landscapes. The festival confirmed its plastic-free commitment with the use of compostable materials.
