Peasant Dinner

The 2025 Peasant Dinner enlivened the evening of Friday, August 8, in the gardens of Castello Caracciolo, the historic heart of Sammichele di Bari. From late afternoon, participants began setting up their stations, transforming the castle park into a large, widespread dining area dedicated to Apulian rural tradition.

Baskets of cheeses, cured meats, homemade bread, fresh vegetables, and good wine, combined with checkered tablecloths and vintage attire, recreated the atmosphere of country dinners from the past. In line with the "zero plastic" philosophy, the evening concluded with the awarding of the most original and well-decorated station, celebrating creativity and community spirit.
