Patronal Feast of Torricella Peligna

The 2025 Patronal Feast of Torricella Peligna, in the province of Chieti, was held on August 8th and 9th according to local custom. The first day saw the morning opening with barrels and a marching band along the main street, followed in the afternoon by the characteristic parade of the bacili with children in Abruzzese costumes. In the evening, the evocative torchlight procession accompanied the parade to the church, culminating in a fireworks display. On August 9th, the solemn mass and the procession of San Marziale, featuring the representation of Saint Felicity and her seven martyred sons, concluded the festivities in the heart of the Majella village.
