Edition 2025 — Madonna del Carmelo

In 2025, Sant'Alessio Siculo celebrated its patron saint, Maria Santissima del Carmelo, with the usual program. On July 16th, after the Eucharistic celebration, the statue was carried in a procession along the town's sea, followed by fishing and tourist boats. The festivities concluded on the weekend of the last Sunday of July with the procession of the statue through the city streets, accompanied by the marching band and parish associations.

The 2025 edition of the Feast of the Madonna del Carmelo in Sant'Alessio Siculo (ME) followed the village's seafaring tradition. On July 16th, the evocative sea procession took place: the statue of the Virgin, after the solemn mass, was embarked and led along the Ionian coast, escorted by numerous boats.

The festivities closed on the last Sunday of July with the procession through the village streets, enlivened by the marching band and parish groups; the Municipality implemented the usual traffic restrictions on the main streets for the passage of the religious parade.
