Patronal Feast of Santa Maria Salomè and San Pietro da Verona

The 2025 edition of the Alfedena Patronal Feast took place on the second Sunday of July, renewing the ritual that has always accompanied the village's devotion to Santa Maria Salomè and San Pietro da Verona. After the solemn mass in the Church of Santi Pietro e Paolo, the procession carried the statues of the patrons along the stone streets of the historic center, decorated for the occasion and illuminated by festive lights.

The secular part of the festival saw the main square come alive with music and evening entertainment, while the day concluded with the traditional fireworks display above the mountain village and the peaks of the Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise National Park. An event that, year after year, confirms the strong bond of the Alfedena community with its roots and the ancient Samnite village of Aufidena.
