Edition 2025 — Madonna delle Grazie Feast
The 2025 Patronal Feast
In 2025, Casalvecchio di Puglia once again celebrated its patron saints, Santa Maria SS. delle Grazie and San Nicola, in the setting of the historic center of the Daunian Sub-Apennine village. The two days of festivities alternated between religious moments and popular events: solemn masses, the procession of the venerated effigy of the Madonna accompanied by the band, illuminations lighting up the village streets, and fireworks in honor of the patrons.
The celebration, organized by the Parish of Saints Peter and Paul, once again confirmed the strong bond between the community and its Arbëreshe identity, as well as the ancient link of faith with Gildone. By resolution of the Municipal Council, the Municipality of Casalvecchio di Puglia granted an extraordinary contribution to the parish to support the costs of the event.
Programme
First day dedicated to Santa Maria SS. delle Grazie: solemn mass, procession of the ancient statue of the Madonna through the village streets, and fireworks in her honor. Second day in honor of San Nicola, with the procession of the patrons' effigies accompanied by the band and evening band concerts.
