Patronal Feast of Santa Maria della Provvidenza

The 2025 edition of the Patronal Feast of Santa Maria della Provvidenza took place in Antillo (ME) on August 22, 2025, in accordance with the centuries-old tradition. The Sacred Image, placed on the portal of the Mother Church, was greeted by the cry «Evviva S. Maria di la Pruvvidenza» and the release of blue, pink, and white balloons, the colors of the Madonna's mantle.

The Vara was carried on the shoulders of the faithful along the main streets of the village, accompanied by the 'Vincenzo Bellini' Marching Band, amidst musketry and cheers in every district. Upon the return of the statue to the church, the festival concluded with the 'u giocu focu' fireworks display at the Acquavena fountain, greeted by the faithful gathered at the panoramic points of the area.
