Patronal Feast of Santa Brigida

In August 2025, the village of Pennapiedimonte, on the Maiella in the Province of Chieti, celebrated its Patronal Feast of Santa Brigida with four days of events from August 16th to 19th. The festival opened on August 16th with the celebration dedicated to Maria Madre del Buon Cammino at the Fonte Gallo site, reaching its most solemn moment on August 17th, the day of the patron saint Santa Brigida. The following days featured celebrations in honor of Saint Anthony of Padua (August 18th) and Saint Roch (August 19th). As is tradition, religious rites and processions alternated with secular events, music, and convivial moments that animated the village center, involving residents, returning emigrants, and visitors.
