Patronal Feast of San Sebastiano dei Marsi

The 2025 edition of the Patronal Feast of San Sebastiano dei Marsi, in the Municipality of Bisegna (AQ), was held from August 18th to 20th, confirming the rich calendar of traditions that characterizes the village in the Giovenco Valley.

As per custom, on August 18th, the community renewed the firewood festival with the procession of donkeys loaded with bundles, on August 19th the blessing of the Madonnina in the rock took place, and on August 20th, at midnight, the traditional dance of the Pupazza closed the festivities amidst saltarella music and fireworks.

A significant cultural highlight of the edition was the piano concert on August 19th, featuring the internationally renowned pianist Cristiana Pegoraro, an event dedicated to the memory of Maestro Filippo Berardini that brought great classical music to the Marsican mountains.
