2025 Edition
The 2025 edition of the San Cataldo Feast in Taranto reached its peak on May 8th, 9th, and 10th. On Thursday, May 8th, at 6:00 PM, the traditional "pregge" ceremony took place in the Cathedral, with the symbolic handing over of the saint's statue to the mayor; followed by the transfer to the Sant'Eligio Pier and the solemn sea procession through the Mar Piccolo and Mar Grande, under the Swing Bridge, accompanied by a parade of boats.
On Friday, May 9th, the Cataldus d'Argento award ceremony was held in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce, during the evening titled "Su di te sia pace" (Peace be upon you), dedicated to the theme of peace. On Saturday, May 10th, the land procession crossed the Old Town and the Borgo; in the evening, in Piazza Castello, the concert by Patrizia Conte, winner of the 2025 edition of The Voice Senior, took place, followed at 10:30 PM by the grand fireworks display from the Aragonese Castle to close the festivities.
