The patron saint's feast of Cerete Alto, in Val Borlezza, between faith and community
In Cerete, a municipality in Val Borlezza in the province of Bergamo, the hamlet of Cerete Alto celebrates its patron saints, Saints Philip and James, at the beginning of May. The patronal feast is one of the most important moments of the year for the community, an event that combines religious devotion with a sense of belonging to the village.
The heart of the feast is the solemn mass celebrated in the parish church of Saints Philip and James, a building that holds the spiritual history of Cerete Alto. The celebration, particularly well-attended, brings the community together around its patrons in a moment of reflection and shared celebration.
The religious dimension is complemented by the convivial aspect, with the community lunch at the town's sports center. An opportunity to gather around the table and enjoy traditional Bergamascan dishes together, strengthening community bonds in a festive atmosphere.
