Rovellasca's Patron Saints

Rovellasca, a small municipality in the province of Como, celebrates its patron saints, Saints Peter and Paul, every year on June 29th. The patronal feast revolves around the town's parish church, dedicated to the two apostles. The current building has a long history: the original chapel, built in the 14th century, was dedicated to Saint Mary; during the 19th century, with the expansion of the side naves between 1849 and 1851, the dedication was changed to honor Saints Peter and Paul.
