Edition 2025 — Feast of SS. George and Fortunatus
The 2025 edition of the Patronal Feast of Saints George and Fortunatus took place in Ortelle, in the province of Lecce, from Sunday, August 17th, to Tuesday, August 19th.
The festival opened on August 17th with a musical marching band accompanying the procession of the saints' busts through the town streets, followed by a solemn mass and, in the evening, a fireworks display and civic festivities with singing and dancing. August 18th was entirely dedicated to the devotion of the two saints, with liturgical celebrations in the Mother Church of Saint George. On August 19th, the grand finale featured concerts in the main square, enlivened by light displays and the participation of the entire community.
Organized by the Saint George and Saint Fortunatus Feast Committee, the event confirmed its role as the most heartfelt appointment of the year for the Salento village.
