Patronal Feast of Saints Felice Martire and Anthony of Padua

The 2025 Patronal Feast

In the summer of 2025, the village of San Giovanni Lipioni, in the province of Chieti, celebrated its patronal feast of Saints Felice Martire and Anthony of Padua on August 20th and 21st, as part of the summer program "E…state a San Giovanni Lipioni".

The festival followed the traditional pattern: opening at dawn on August 20th with fireworks, a morning parade by the brass band, solemn mass, and procession of the statue of San Felice Martire through the streets of the historic center, a band concert in the afternoon, and evening dancing in the square. On August 21st, festivities continued in honor of Saint Anthony of Padua. As every year, the festival drew numerous emigrants and families originally from the village back home.
