Patronal Feast of Saint Vincent the Martyr

The 2025 edition of the Patronal Feast of Saint Vincent the Martyr took place in Ugento on January 21st and 22nd, confirming the traditional calendar of the solemnity. The eve of January 21st featured the awaited arrival of the saint on horseback and the reading of the martyr's passio, while on January 22nd, the community gathered for morning masses and the solemn afternoon procession of the saint's wooden bust through the streets of the historic center, with all the confraternities of the Diocese of Ugento-Santa Maria di Leuca. The day concluded with the pontifical mass presided over by the Bishop in the Cathedral. On the civil front, illuminations lit up the town, which was animated by a market, brass band concerts, and the usual final fireworks display.
