Patronal Feast of Saint Sossius the Martyr

The 2025 edition of the Patronal Feast of Saint Sossius the Martyr renewed the centuries-old devotion in Frattamaggiore toward the deacon and martyr who is the city's patron. The celebrations, spread over the days around September 23rd, combined religious and popular dimensions.

The most attended moment was the procession of the reliquary bust of Saint Sossius through the main streets of the center, accompanied by a brass band, confraternities, and a large crowd of the faithful. In Piazza Umberto I, civil festivities took place with concerts and shows, while FrattaPizza, organized by the Pro Loco in collaboration with the local Ascom, enlivened the evenings with local flavors. The festival concluded with illuminations and a fireworks display.
