Patronal Feast of Saint Roch

The 2025 festival

In 2025, Gagliano del Capo celebrated Saint Roch with the usual calendar of religious and secular events. The highlight was the solemn High Mass in the Mother Church, followed by the procession that led the saint's statue through the town center, accompanied by confraternities, the faithful, and brass bands.

The evenings were brought to life by artistic light displays, classical and popular music concerts performed from the bandstand, and food stalls offering Salento specialties—pittule, horse meat stew, friselle, and traditional pastries. The festivities concluded with the traditional fireworks display over the sky of Capo di Leuca.

2025 Festival Structure

Religious events

• Solemn High Mass in the Mother Church with a panegyric dedicated to the life and miracles of Saint Roch
• Procession with the statue of the saint through the town streets, accompanied by confraternities, the faithful, and brass bands playing sacred marches

• Artistic light displays in the squares and streets of the historic center
