Edition 2025 — Saint Prospero the Martyr

The 2025 edition of the Patronal Feast of Saint Prospero the Martyr took place on Sunday, August 3, the first Sunday of the month, in Marianopoli. As per tradition, the day featured the morning collection by the drummers through the village streets, followed in the evening by the Solemn Mass in the Mother Church and the solemn procession of the saint's statue and relics along Via Roma, with the pageant of the Saints and the brass band. Religious celebrations were accompanied by a summer program with shows in the square and the traditional Cena Bianca manchese.

The 2025 edition of the Patronal Feast of Saint Prospero the Martyr in Marianopoli, in the province of Caltanissetta, was celebrated on the first Sunday of August, renewing the rites that have marked the summer of the village for generations.

After the preparatory novena, the day of the feast opened with the collection by the drummers and concluded, after the Solemn Mass in the Mother Church, with the procession of the statue and relics of Saint Prospero along Via Roma. Alongside the patron saint, the statues of the pageant of the Saints paraded - the Annunciation with Archangel Gabriel, Saint Michael, Saint Rita, Saint Lucy, and others - between two rows of crowds, until the Eucharistic blessing and the final bowing of the Saints to the Blessed Sacrament.

To complete the festivities, the usual summer program of events in the square and the characteristic Cena Bianca manchese along Via Roma, with participants dressed in white, amidst dances, games, and final awards.
