The 2025 summer festival
From August 18 to 20, 2025, Ascoli Satriano celebrated its summer Patronal Feast of Saint Potitus Martyr, one of the most cherished events of the summer in the Monti Dauni. The three days combined religious devotion with popular festivities: the procession with the bust of the saint through the streets of the historic center, brass band concerts, folk performances, and fireworks featuring the traditional "ciuccio di San Potito."
The evenings were highlighted by music, with free concerts in Piazza Giovanni Paolo II, including a performance by Franco Ricciardi. To complete the program, artistic illuminations, craft markets, and food stalls with typical Daunian products brought the town in the province of Foggia to life.
Programme
2025 Program (August 18-20)
- Religious rites: novena, Eucharistic celebrations, and solemn procession with the bust of Saint Potitus through the historic center, accompanied by a band.
- Free evening concerts in Piazza Giovanni Paolo II, featuring a performance by Franco Ricciardi.
- Brass band concert and folk performances.
- Fireworks and the traditional "ciuccio di San Potito."
- Artistic illuminations, craft markets, and food stalls with typical Daunian products.
