Patronal Feast of Saint Peter the Apostle

The 2025 edition of the Patronal Feast of Saint Peter the Apostle took place on Sunday, July 13, 2025, in San Pietro in Lama, Salento. As per tradition, the highlight was the procession with the statue of the patron saint carried through the streets of the town, accompanied by the faithful and the brass band.

The secular program developed around the religious rites, with artistic illuminations, live concerts, folk performances, and the inevitable fireworks to conclude the day. There was no shortage of food stalls with specialties of Salento cuisine — pittule, rustic sandwiches, traditional sweets, and local wines — which accompanied residents and visitors through the streets of the historic center.
