Edition 2025 — Saint Nicholas Missanello

In 2025, the Patronal Feast of Saint Nicholas in Missanello was enriched by the exceptional return of the 15th-century Processional Cross, exhibited from May 6th to 18th. The precious artwork, kept by the diocesan museum of Tricarico, became the heart of the patronal celebrations in the Val d'Agri village.

The 2025 edition

The 2025 edition of the Saint Nicholas feast held special significance for Missanello: the community 'reclaimed its cross', with the return of the 15th-century Processional Cross, a work of art of inestimable value normally housed in the museum of the Diocese of Tricarico. Exhibited from May 6th to 18th, the cross was central to the patronal celebrations, including solemn masses, a procession, and popular festivities, highlighting the historical and artistic heritage of the small village in Basilicata.
