Feast of Saint Michael the Archangel 2025
From September 26th to 30th, 2025, Vasto celebrated its patron Saint Michael the Archangel with a program full of religious and secular events. The historic center was lit up with illuminations while the squares hosted major concerts: Roby Santini with the Party 90 Show, the Lucio Dalla tribute "L'Ultima Luna", Luca Di Risio in Piazza Pudente, and the closing concert by I Nomadi in Piazza Rossetti.
The calendar was enriched by the Children's Festival with Pompieropoli, the State Police and Financial Guard marching bands, the Saint Michael Prize at Palazzo D'Avalos, the funfair, and markets. On September 29th, Holy Masses at the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore were presided over by Archbishop Bruno Forte; on September 30th, the solemn procession crossed the old town, concluding at midnight with a grand fireworks display over the Gulf of Vasto.
