Patronal Feast of Saint Mark the Evangelist

The 2025 edition of the Saint Mark festival in Torricella combined moments of faith, popular tradition, and entertainment on April 24th and 25th. The eve opened with a visit to the OSMAIRM and, in the evening, with the Saint Mark's communal tables organized by the districts, the performance of the Music Wave Band street band, and a Top DJ contest with Piero D'Aversa, Francesco Bianco, Claudio Foggetti, Cristian Falco, and Samuele Pesare.

April 25th, the patron saint's day, saw the rite of handing over the keys to the Saint at 10:30 AM, followed by the Eucharistic celebration in Piazza Mimino Lacaita and the traditional Procession of the Four Winds with the blessing of the town's cardinal points. In the afternoon, at 4:30 PM, the solemn procession with the effigy of Saint Mark began through the streets of the town. The event enjoyed the patronage of the Puglia Region, the Municipality of Torricella, and the Province of Taranto.
