Edition 2025 — Feast of Saint Liberato

On August 19, 2025, San Marco la Catola celebrated its patron saint, Saint Liberato the Martyr, with the traditional patronal feast. The day opened with a livestock and local produce fair, continued in the afternoon with the solemn procession of the Saint through the village streets, and concluded in the evening with a brass band concert in the square. The following day, August 20, the festivities culminated with the historic Giostra della Jaletta.

The 2025 edition of the Patronal Feast of Saint Liberato the Martyr took place as scheduled in San Marco la Catola, in the Monti Dauni, on August 19th. As per tradition, the morning was dedicated to the fair, featuring livestock exhibitions and the sale of agricultural and artisanal products from the Subappennino Dauno.

In the afternoon, the procession of the patron saint took place through the streets of the historic center, with the participation of the faithful and local authorities, while the square hosted the brass band concert in the evening. The feast opened the cycle of summer celebrations, which culminated on August 20th with the Giostra della Jaletta, the spectacular equestrian re-enactment at the foot of the Palazzo Ducale that attracted numerous visitors to the town.
