Patronal Feast of Saint Lawrence the Martyr (Miracle of the Blood Liquefaction)

The 2025 edition of the Patronal Feast of Saint Lawrence the Martyr in Amaseno (Frosinone, Lazio) opened with the novena and reached its climax between August 9th and 10th. On the evening of August 9th, the Pontifical Mass was celebrated in Piazza della Vittoria, presided over by Monsignor Ambrogio Spreafico, followed by the procession with the relic of the miraculous blood through the town streets.

On August 10th, the patron saint's day, the Collegiate Church of Santa Maria Assunta hosted Holy Masses and solemn Vespers. In the evening, the Amaseno Marching Band, directed by Maestro Natalino Como, performed in Piazza della Vittoria, while a musical evening with tribute acts and street performers was held in Piazza XI Febbraio. The event also received special national television coverage with dedicated footage. Celebrations continued in the following days with the cult of the Assumption of Mary and the feast of Saint Roch on August 16th.
