Edition 2025 — Feast of Saint Joseph the Worker

The 2025 edition of the Patronal Feast of Saint Joseph the Worker took place in Moio Alcantara on Sunday, May 11, the second Sunday of the month. The community of the village at the foot of Mount Etna gathered around the Mother Church to honor the patron saint with a procession of the statue along the traditional route, the blessing of the bells, and the traditional fireworks display at the end of the festive day.

2025 Edition

The 2025 Patronal Feast of Saint Joseph the Worker was celebrated in Moio Alcantara, in the province of Messina, on Sunday, May 11, following the custom that sets the festivities on the second Sunday of the month. The day renewed the village's traditional rituals: the procession of the patron saint's statue through the streets of the historic center, the blessing of the bells, and the concluding fireworks display. As every year, the festival combined religious and popular dimensions, confirming the community's bond with its patron saint in the Alcantara Valley.
