Edition 2025 — Saint John the Baptist Veglie
2025 Edition
In 2025, the Patronal Feast of Saint John the Baptist took place from June 23rd to 25th. On Monday, June 23rd, after the 3rd "Saint John the Baptist" Archery Trophy, at 7:30 PM in Piazza Umberto I, the solemn Concelebration presided over by Archbishop Mons. Giovanni Intini took place, followed by the procession with the "A. Reino" Grand Brass Band of Salento; in the evening, Salento folk music on Via Dante and a Square party in the piazza.
Tuesday, June 24th, the Saint's day, featured a musical matinée with the Grand Brass Band of the City of Manduria, the patron's aperitif, the launch of the traditional hot-air balloon, and in the evening, the fireworks display by Pirotecnica Salentina of Novoli, brass band concerts, and Mistura Louca on Via Dante. Wednesday, June 25th, the grand finale with the show "Accasaccio and Puccia in concert". For all three days, the "Saporita" festival in Piazza XXIV Maggio and "The Way of Art" in the historic center.
