Patronal Feast of Saint Catherine of Alexandria

The 2025 patronal feast

On November 25th, 2025, Corvara in Badia renewed its devotion to its patron saint, Saint Catherine of Alexandria. The commemoration, the most cherished in the village's religious calendar, brought the Ladin community of Alta Badia together around the historic Church of Saint Catherine, the oldest sacred site in the municipality and guardian of the only well-preserved winged altar in Val Badia.

The central moment of the day was the Holy Mass in honor of the patron saint. The late-November feast, which coincides with the start of the winter season in the Dolomites, reaffirmed the strong bond of the inhabitants of Corvara with their religious traditions and the Ladin identity of the valley.
