Edition 2025 — Saint Bartholomew Feast
The Patronal Feast of Saint Bartholomew on August 24, 2025, represented the highlight of the summer in Sant'Eufemia a Maiella (PE), in Abruzzo. The morning opened with fireworks and the sound of the brass band, followed by the solemn Holy Mass in the Church of Saint Bartholomew. In the afternoon, the procession took place through the streets of the village, with the statues of Saint Bartholomew and Saint Euphemia carried on shoulders, according to tradition, by emigrants who returned home for the summer, alternating with the village residents.
The patronal feast coincided with the conclusion of the rich summer program promoted by the Municipality, which took place from June 19 to August 24, 2025, in the small woods and public spaces of the village, featuring musical evenings, shows, and community moments. The day closed, as per tradition, with music and the ancient "ballo della pupa".
