The Gratosoglio neighborhood festival centered around its parish
In the Gratosoglio neighborhood, at the southern end of Milan (Municipality 5), the Parish of Saint Barnabas on Via Achille Feraboli is the community's focal point. Every year, the neighborhood gathers around its patronal feast day, a day that intertwines the religious dimension with popular and oratory life.
The feast combines the liturgical celebration for the patron saint with the social events that accompany it: the traditional sale of cookies, taralli, and sweets, oratory tournaments, and activities involving families and young people. It is also an occasion to present the Summer Oratory, a sign of the parish community's vitality throughout the year.
The event is promoted by the Pastoral Community of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, of which the Parish of Saint Barnabas is a part. More than a large city event, the Feast of Saint Barnabas is a local celebration, an expression of Gratosoglio's identity within the Metropolitan City of Milan.
The parish confirms the Patronal Feast of Saint Barnabas for Sunday, June 7, 2026. The day is part of a weekend of events for the oratory and the Gratosoglio community.
Any further events will be announced by the parish.
