Edition 2025 — Saint Antoninus in Viticuso

The 2025 edition of the Patronal Feast of Saint Antoninus the Martyr took place in Viticuso on September 1st and 2nd, following the traditional festival calendar. The community, along with emigrants who returned to the village, followed the novena at the sanctuary, the evening procession toward the church of Santa Maria Assunta, and the solemn mass in the square, with secular moments of music and celebration organized by the Committee.

In 2025, Viticuso renewed its most heartfelt feast, the one in honor of its patron Saint Antoninus the Martyr, celebrated as per tradition on September 1st and 2nd. Sources documenting the patronal feasts of Lazio indicate September 1st, 2025, as the main day of the recurrence.

The edition followed the established format of the Viticuso festivities: the novena at the sanctuary dedicated to the saint starting August 23rd, the evening procession on September 1st from the sanctuary toward the village, with the statue led into the parish church of Santa Maria Assunta, and the solemn Eucharistic celebration on September 2nd in the square. Alongside the religious program, traditional secular moments with a brass band and entertainment enlivened the small village in the province of Frosinone, once again a meeting point for Viticusani emigrants who return every year for the patronal feast.
