Patronal Feast of Saint Anthony of Padua

The 2025 edition of the Patronal Feast of Saint Anthony of Padua confirmed the vitality of one of the most deeply rooted traditions in Orta Nova, in the province of Foggia. Around June 13th, the saint's liturgical day, the community gathered for the preparatory triduum, solemn masses at the Maria SS. Addolorata Parish, and the solemn procession of the statue of Saint Anthony along the streets of the center.

There was no shortage of moments dear to local tradition, such as the blessing of agricultural machinery, a sign of the bond between devotion and field work in the Tavoliere delle Puglie, along with artistic illuminations, the brass band, and the fireworks display that greets the conclusion of the patronal festivities every year.
