Edition 2025 — Feast of Saint Anthony
The 2025 Patronal Feast of Saint Anthony of Padua was celebrated in Giano Vetusto, in the province of Caserta, on the penultimate Sunday of August. The village renewed its centuries-old devotion to the patron saint with an intense day of rituals and festivities.
After the preparatory triduum, the community gathered for a solemn mass and the grand procession: the statue of Saint Anthony, carved from pear wood, was carried on shoulders through the village streets, followed by the brass band and the faithful. Upon returning to the square, the traditional Riffa della palma took place, the most anticipated and heartfelt moment of the festival. The evening continued with food stalls, live music, and the fireworks display that closed the day.
