The event, promoted in 2026 under the title "A Sea of Emotions", spans several weeks and engages the entire community. Alongside religious rites, there are large free concerts in the square, wellness villages, exhibitions, cultural meetings, and sporting events. The festival is deeply tied to the sea: the blessing of the fishing boats and vessels, with the participation of the Saint Anthony Maritime League, recalls the deep bond between Anzio, the fishing industry, and its port vocation.
The procession by land and sea
The heart of the festival is the solemn procession by land and sea, considered the most anticipated moment of the year. After the Holy Mass presided over by the Bishop of the Diocese of Albano, the statue of the saint travels through the streets of the center to reach the port. Here, after a tribute from maritime authorities, the statue is embarked on a fishing boat, and the procession continues at sea, blessing the city overlooking the Tyrrhenian coast. Thousands of faithful follow the cortege along the docks in a evocative fusion of spirituality and maritime tradition.
Music, sports, and fireworks
The program alternates popular events and entertainment: concerts by national artists, polyphonic choirs, sporting events like the international boxing meeting in Piazza Garibaldi, and, as a grand finale, the famous fireworks display over the port, which illuminates the sky of Anzio and concludes the festivities dedicated to the patron saint.

The 2026 Antoniana Festival in Anzio enlivened the city from June 13th to 28th with a wide program of religious, cultural, musical, and sporting events, promoted by the Municipality of Anzio and the Confraternity of Saint Anthony. The inaugural day of June 13th, the liturgical feast of the patron saint, combined moments of faith and celebration, while the finale on June 28th featured the fireworks display over the port.

- 10:30 AM - Prayer and blessing of the sea, fishing boats, and vessels at the Piazzale dei Marinai, with the Saint Anthony Maritime League

How to get there
By train: Anzio station on the regional line Rome Termini-Nettuno, a few minutes' walk from the center and the port. By car: from Rome via Pontina (SS148) or via Nettunense to Anzio. By plane: Rome-Fiumicino airport is about an hour away.
