Saint Stephen, Patron Saint of Rosate

In the Municipality of Rosate, in the province of Milan, nestled in the landscape of the South Agricultural Park and the Naviglio, the Patronal Feast dedicated to Saint Stephen is one of the most cherished events of the year. It takes place between the end of May and the beginning of June, over three days packed with events.

The feast combines religious, civil, and popular dimensions, with a program ranging from theater to music, from stalls to gastronomy, and a funfair. This balance, typical of Lombard patronal feasts, engages all age groups.

The Highlight: Risotto in the Piazza

Among the various events, one represents the heart of the feast: the risotto in the piazza, held on Monday evening. A traditional Lombard dish – risotto – served outdoors and shared by the entire community, in one of those convivial scenes that best tell the spirit of village festivals. The evening continues with a performance by the Twirling group in front of the church and live music.
