Patronal Feast of Maria SS. del Carmelo

The 2025 edition of the Patronal Feast of Maria SS. del Carmelo took place in Leonforte according to custom, with the main day on August 16 and the concluding octave on August 23. The street fair along Corso Umberto, which began on August 13, enlivened the town center in the days leading up to the event.

The most anticipated moment was the evening procession: the statue of the Madonna, on the majestic silver float, traveled along Corso Umberto accompanied by the marching band and the devotion of the people of Leonforte, until reaching Piazza Cappuccini where the fireworks display was held. The feast closed on the octave with the moving waving of white handkerchiefs on the churchyard of the Mother Church.
