The 2025 Assunta Feast in Trepuzzi

The 2025 Patronal Feast of Maria SS. Assunta animated Trepuzzi (Lecce) in the heart of the Salento Ferragosto. After the enthronement of the ancient statue on August 5th and the days of the novena, the festivities culminated from August 14th to 16th.

On August 14th, the vigil, the solemn Eucharistic celebration preceded the traditional procession with the statue of the Assunta through the streets of the historic center. On August 15th, the solemnity of the Assumption, the day opened with morning celebrations and the concelebration presided over by the Archbishop of Lecce, Msgr. Angelo Raffaele Panzetta; on August 16th, the feast concluded with the singing of the Te Deum.

On the secular side, prestigious brass bands performed in the bandstand at Largo Margherita — including the "Città di Rutigliano" Grand Band Concert, the "Città di Lecce - Nino Farì" Grand Band Concert, and the "Gioacchino Ligonzo - Città di Conversano" Grand Wind Orchestra. The illuminations were managed by the Perrotta company from Squinzano, while the August 15th street market, fireworks, and the Bande a Sud festival provided the backdrop for the festivities between Trepuzzi and the Casalabate marina.
