Patronal Feast of Maria Santissima di Loreto

The 2025 edition of the Patronal Feast of Maria Santissima di Loreto in Torino di Sangro, in the province of Chieti, kicked off on Sunday, May 25, and continued over the following two days. The community gathered, as the year's theme stated, 'united in faith and tradition', around the wooden statue of the Madonna housed in the Church of Maria Santissima di Loreto. There was no shortage of the solemn procession, the ancient auction to the Madonna with the offering of handcrafted gifts and local produce, brass band concerts, and fireworks, in an atmosphere of intense popular participation that confirms the festival as the most important identity-defining event for the Abruzzese village.
